Urinary incontinence

The two most common types of urinary incontinence affecting women are stress incontinence and urge incontinence, which is also called overactive bladder. Incontinence affects twice as many women as men, which is believed to be due to pregnancy, childbirth and menopause. The good news is that urinary incontinence is not a normal part of aging, and it can be treated.

Urinary tract infections

Women are at greater risk of developing a UTI than are men. About 40 percent of women will experience a UTI at least once in their lifetime. A urinary tract infection is an infection in any part of your urinary system – your kidneys, ureters, bladder and urethra.
